Our Leadership

The people behind BSA

With an organization of such substantial size with such varying interests, we require a significant number of volunteers to keep the programs running and provide value to our players, coaches, referees and parents. If you still have questions, please e-mail us.

President

Tim Kassel

The President is the executive officer of the corporation. Their responsibility is to carry out the directives of the Board of Directors. The primary responsibilities are to provide oversight, communication and leadership for BSA players, families, teams, coaches, trainers, partners and Board; maintain club documentation; coordinate logistics of home games; coordinate practice times and field assignments; and schedule Club Meetings.

1st Vice President

Kevin Nash

The 1st Vice President ensures that all committees carry out their stated responsibilities, and serves the President in all matters as requested. The primary responsibilities are to oversee the Tournament Committee and provide recommendations to the Board on sponsorships of tournaments for the Association.

2nd Vice President

Marc Halpin

The primary responsibilities are to oversee and implement decisions relating to team equipment and uniforms by coordinating team uniform and spirit wear orders, managing sales of Spirit Wear, maintaining inventory and supplying teams with equipment, and acting as liaison to the Township Rec Department and Somerset County Parks Commission.

Secretary

Maureen Rodia

The Secretary shall have charge of all formal documents and records relating to the affairs of the corporation. The primary responsibilities are to attend and keep the minutes of all meetings, assist with Tournament and Tryouts as needed, and handle Score Reporting.

Treasurer

Teresa Sukhin

The Treasurer shall have custody of all funds, property, and securities of the Corporation. The primary responsibilities are to track all expenses of the Annual Tournament, reconcile accounts, pay all club bills, file the annual tax return, track seasonal payments of club fees from teams, and interact with team treasurers.

Administrative Advisor

John Kaveney

The Administrative Advisor serves as advisor to the President and Board of Directors on matters relating to the administration of the Corporation. The primary responsibilities are to process all requests for changes to the By-Laws, handle Club Insurance and Liability, act as Health and Safety Officer, interpret Club By-Laws, run the Annual General Meeting, and develop or approve new policies and procedures.

Club Technical Director

Dan Adams

The Club Technical Director leads and oversees the implementation of a Board approved training program for trainers/coaches and all players. The primary responsibilities are to manage the tryout process including recruitment of players, trainer appointments and communications, formation of teams/player approvals, and assist/direct the Technical Coordinators.

Technical Coordinator of U9-Below

Open Position

The Technical Coordinator for the U9-Below teams is responsible for organizing and administering the Board approved training program for teams under their oversight.

Technical Coordinator of U10-Above

Open Position

The Technical Coordinator of the U10-Above teams will be responsible for organizing and administering the Board approved training program for teams under their oversight.

Team Representative

Open Position

The primary responsibilities are to represent the interests of the Association teams, managers and trainers/coaches at meetings of the Board of Directors, reply to inquiries, hold and direct periodic meetings, and assist with Tournament.

Club Registrar

Karen Campanella

The Registrar shall maintain an up-to-date list of the members of the Association. The primary responsibilities are registration and carding of all players, reconciliation of player and coach fees with state, and registration of applicable teams with EDP and MNJYSA.

Website Coordinator

Open Position

The primary responsibilities are to oversee and manage the BSA website, manage and update content, and act as Chairperson for Publicity Committee activities.

Communications Coordinator

Amy Schinagl

The primary responsibilities are to manage Team Snap Account at club level, coordinate all member communications, plan club and community events, create standardization for providing team information, and act as Chairperson for Social Event Committee activities.
