WE’RE BACK!!!

BRIDGEWATER-RARITAN SCHOOLS

ARE SHAVING THE WAY

TO CONQUER KIDS’ CANCER

WHERE:    Eisenhower Intermediate School

WHEN:      FRIDAY, MARCH 10, 2017 @ 6:00 p.m.

NEWS:    The selfless students and faculty of the Bridgewater-Raritan Schools will once again have their heads shaved to raise money to Conquer Kids’ Cancer!

Ladies who wish to participate but not shave their heads are invited to cut their hair for Beautiful Lengths and Locks of Love.

Over the past 6 years students from every school in the B-R School District participated - raising over $600,000.00 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation which funds the most promising research and pediatric oncologists working for cures for childhood cancer.

FACTS

Each year, 160,000 children are diagnosed with cancer worldwide of which 15,000 reside within the United States.

Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada.

St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. At Foundation events all throughout the year, brave volunteers shave their heads, raising funds for childhood cancer research. Like runners in a marathon, "shavees" collect donations from friends, family and associates. The St. Baldrick's Foundation receives these funds and makes grants to research experts to find new and better cures for fighting kids' cancer.

Since their first event in 2000, St. Baldrick’s has raised over $120,000,000.00 for childhood cancer research

St. Baldrick's funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world to find cures and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors.

St. Baldrick’s funds more in childhood cancer research grants than ny organization except the U.S. government.

THE B-R CONQUER KIDS’ CANCER EVENT

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

The Van Holten Elementary School PTO is sponsoring the 2017 B-R Conquer Kids’ Event

This years’ Event is going to be the biggest ever.  Over the past 6 years we have raised more than $600,000.

We envision dozens of Students, Faculty, Staff and their families volunteering to shave their heads to raise money for St. Baldrick’s

Female students may cut their hair at the Event for Locks of Love or Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths! Restrictions apply as to the length of hair that can be cut.  There will be limited space.  Please contact Michael Schwartz for more details

Michael and the PTO are looking for parent/guardian Volunteers to help with the following:

Find corporate and small business sponsors for the Event

Spread the word to everyone you know in an effort to help our students raise as much money as they can for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation
